To pick up where the last good post left off....
We arrived at our new house about 4:30 Saturday evening. Local time was 5:30 but we decided to keep Noah on his KS time schedule since daylight savings time was the next day. When we pulled up my friend Jenny met us outside to give us our keys and show us the house. It was a little overwhelming to walk into the empty (and large) house.
Sadly though, right away we saw mold on the windows. All of them. All over the windows......
Thankfully after talking to the landlord he said he'd get someone to professionally clean it. He called back later saying that they wouldn't have been able to come till the next weekend. I told him I'd do it myself and he paid me $100. It only cost me $5 for the supplies ;-)
(there isn't mold, that's just the cracks in the windows)
The movers showed up Sunday morning about 9am and got to work quickly. They brought things in, yelled off numbers and I checked off the list. They were kind enough to help make sure Noah's crib could get in his room (after 45 min of attempting), put our bed together and put our dining table together and fixed it!
It was crazy busy in here, even though there were only two people doing the moving.
Now it's a week later and we've mostly settled in. Bedrooms are 99% done, we still need our guest bed (sofa bed), and to hang up pictures all over. Some are up, curtains are up and a few decorations are up as well.
It's all coming together! I'll update tomorrow with the most recent photos!
WOW! That is looking amazing!!! They fixed the dining table, too? Sweet! Glad to see you settling so well into your new life. :)
